Windsor Great Park Ride's - Impact of period of mourning
It is with great sadness that we have learnt of the death of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II. We extend our deepest sympathies to His Majesty The King and all members of the Royal Family.
During this time of mourning, all commercial activities in the park are ceased and as such we cannot operate any of our customer park rides.
We are awaiting further details and confirmation, but it is expected that the period of mourning will continue until at least 20th September.
We will be contacting all our customers to reschedule any rides as soon as possible. If you have not received communication from us regarding a booking you have with us, please do contact our office.
During this period of time, our riding school lessons are not affected.
Thank you for your understanding

Jim Jam Update
UPDATE!!!
Thank you to everyone who has kindly donated, and all who are continuing the fundraising efforts, it is much appreciated.
We admitted Jim Jam to the hospital on Saturday as she urgently needed their care.
Over the past few days she's been showing really positive signs of improvement. On Tuesday she was re-scoped and everything was looking to be progressing well and yesterday the vets performed an ultrasound, which showed no concerning signs 🙂
We are hoping to be able to bring her back home to Wayside later today!
She still has a long way to go and will require a lot of nursing and vet care over the coming days, weeks and potentially months, but all the signs are heading in the right direction.
Thank you all again for your help and support to ensure she received the best possible treatment so far to help her get through this stage of her recovery. We are still quite a way off our target to cover the fees, so please do keep donating, however small.
Thank you again from all at Wayside

Fifield, SL6 2PG
Wayside is offering its Christmas Lead Rein rides this Saturday between 1.30 and 3.30 at a discounted price of £15 per child, per ride.
We have a seriously ill horse who will likely need surgery so are doing our best to fundraise to cover operation costs.
Children must wear long trousers and wellington boots or substantial footwear. High Vis and riding helmets will be provided. Warm clothing is highly recommended.
We can accommodate children with additional needs but please phone the office on 01628 777735 to book a slot so that we have appropriately trained helpers available. To save potentially waiting around on the day, booking via the same number is advisable for any families who would like their children to ride (between 09.30&4.30, Mon-Fri). Payment in cash on the day please.
Bring a bag of carrots, even if not riding and feel free to walk around and feed our horses/ponies. They would love to see you!

Help Jim Jam have lifesaving surgery
Please help one of our lovely Wayside Mares, Jim Jam who needs an urgent, lifesaving operation!
Jim Jam came to Wayside stables just over 3 years ago. She was an eventing horse and was then sold as a family horse to close friends of the Wayside family. During her time with the family she did fun rides, showing and loved being a big family pet until the girl went to university, and that’s when she came to us.
She’s always been a sensitive horse, but once she knows you, she has a heart of gold, and we want to give this talented, beautiful girl every opportunity to continue being one of the Wayside family.
Jim Jam will need urgent surgery over the weekend. She has a rare condition of the Guttural pouch (which is an air-filled canal that connects the throat to the middle ear) caused by a bacterial infection. It is a potentially fatal condition and the only opportunity to save her is for the vets to insert two balloons to divert blood flow away from the guttural pouch.
The operation will cost approximately £2500, so anything you can afford to donate would be gratefully appreciated to enable us to proceed with this life saving operation. Please go to our Facebook fundraising page to donate: https://www.facebook.com/donate/615091689838922/
Thank you in advance for your help, everyone at Wayside is incredibly grateful for your support

Welcome to Skye
We would like to introduce you all to Skye, our newest member of the Wayside family. Skye is a 16HH Bay mare who is 12 years old. Like many of our Wayside favourites, Skye is an Irish Sports horse and is fitting in well (although is a bit naughty in the field). I am sure Skye would enjoy a pat or carrot next time you walk past her on the yard or are lucky enough to ride her.
